About Lambton Park Hotel
The Lambton Park Hotel, known locally as the LPH, is a corner pub on Morehead Street in the middle of Lambton that has been part of the suburb for decades. It runs a bistro serving pub classics alongside steaks and plenty of gluten-free and vegetarian dishes, a front bar with 20 beer taps, a pool table and an outdoor patio. It also has rooms upstairs for guests who want to stay. For parties, the main option is the private function room, which takes up to 80 people for a cocktail-style event or 38 seated. Hiring it costs nothing: the pub takes a $250 holding deposit, refunded on the day of the event, with a three-week cancellation policy. The patio holds 30 to 70 guests seated or standing, and groups can also be given a section of the bar or dining rooms. To have the function room or the top verandah exclusively you need at least 30 people. The pub does not hire out the entire venue. You can connect your own playlist to the room's sound system by aux cable and decorate as you like (no glitter). Canapé packages run from $38 per person for four pieces and a substantial item over an hour, to $48 and $58 for longer service and more choice. Platters such as dips, antipasto, sliders and skewers feed bigger groups, and an alternate-drop menu is $56 for two courses or $68 for three. Drinks can be a bar tab of any amount, with wristbands for your guests, or a three- or five-hour package. Food orders need two weeks' notice.
