About Westernport Hotel
The Westernport Hotel is a pub on High Street in Hastings, at the end of the street nearest the beach and close to the foreshore and marina. Along with its bistro and sports bar, it has a dedicated room for private functions. Inside and out, the function room is served by a dedicated bar, so your guests are not queuing with the public. It is fully accessible and can be decorated to suit your theme. Cocktail parties run for 35 to 100 guests, and seated dinners for up to 60. For smaller groups, The Nook is a separate private dining area for up to 20. Canapé packages let you build a selection from items such as arancini, sushi, house-made pizzas, chicken ribs, party pies and petit fours. Sit-down functions use a private dining menu of shared entrées, mains such as roast beef, chicken parma and pumpkin risotto, and a sweets platter. You can plug in your own playlist, leave the music to the pub or book a DJ, and the AV equipment is yours to use. Drinks run on a bar tab you set up, or guests buy their own at the bar. Five hours of hire are included, along with a dedicated bar, table linen and signs. Restrooms are just around the corner rather than inside the room.

How many guests does the function room hold?
Cocktail parties run for 35 to 100 guests and sit-down functions for up to 60. The Nook, a smaller private dining area, takes up to 20.
How much do the canapé packages cost?
Six canapé items are $25 per person, ten items $30 per person and fourteen items $35 per person. Cocktail functions need at least 45 guests, catering has to cover everyone attending, and a $250 security fee applies.
What does room hire include?
Hire of the main function room is $250 and The Nook is $100. Both cover five hours of private use, a dedicated bar, table linen, signs, and the AV and sound gear.
Can we bring our own birthday cake?
Yes. Cakeage is $20 for the cake served on a platter, or $1.50 per person to have it plated individually with berries and cream.
How do drinks work at a function?
You can set up a bar tab with a full open bar or a menu you choose, settled at the end, or run a cash bar where guests pay for their own drinks. Last drinks are called half an hour before your finish time.
