About Dromana Estate
Dromana Estate is a working winery on Old Moorooduc Road in Tuerong, centred on the heritage-listed Tuerong Homestead. The property spreads over 140 acres of gardens, vineyards and lawns, and has been making wine on the Peninsula since 1982. The Stables is the larger reception room, with Oregon timber beams overhead and around a hundred vintage bulbs strung through the roof. It seats up to 140 or holds 200 standing, and opens onto an outdoor deck with handmade timber furniture. The homestead is a more intimate period room with original floorboards and a large open fireplace. It takes up to 60 seated or 120 for a cocktail-style event. Ceremonies can be held beneath the 100-year-old weeping elm, among the cypress trees, in the vineyard or up on the raised barn deck under its pergola. For a bigger outdoor celebration, a marquee or tipi can be set up on the grounds. Packages are all-inclusive and the in-house chefs prepare the menu, including cocktail-style food. Wines come from the estate's own Dromana Estate and Mornington Estate labels. As well as weddings, the estate hosts engagement parties, birthday parties and corporate celebrations.
