About Steeples Mornington
Steeples Mornington is a bistro, bar and sports bar on the Mornington-Tyabb Road, right beside the Mornington racecourse. It trades seven days and hosts birthdays, engagements, Christmas parties, meetings and dinners in two function areas. The Chase is a semi-private room with floor-to-ceiling windows facing the garden, and The Terrace is a bright, heated and covered outdoor area overlooking the garden and its creek. Each holds up to 55 guests and has audio-visual gear, including microphones, speakers and screens. Seated groups of 20 to 50 can choose two courses at $60 per person or three at $70. For a cocktail party of 25 or more, finger food runs from $25 per person for five items up to $35 for ten, with sliders, arancini, dumplings, pizzas and skewers among the choices. Drinks can run on a bar tab or a beverage package priced on request, with tap beer, house wines and a wide range of spirits behind the bar. Hosts are welcome to decorate, as long as nothing damages surfaces, and celebration cakes can be cut for a small fee. Room hire is $200, waived when catering for 50 or more, and a $1,500 minimum spend applies on Saturdays and Sundays. A $200 deposit confirms the booking, so send an enquiry to check dates.
