About St Andrews Beach Brewery
Run by one family, St Andrews Beach Brewery sits on Sandy Road in Fingal, on the southern Mornington Peninsula. The 92-acre property was once a private training track for racehorses, and the old stables have been turned into dining areas beside the beer garden. Hops and apples grown on the property go into some of the beers and ciders. For functions there are three options. The Stables are undercover dining nooks for 5 to 50 guests, The Birdcage is a private indoor-outdoor space for 50 to 200, and the whole venue can be hired for 500 to 650 guests. The Birdcage sits behind the restaurant and brewhouse, with its own bar and a grassy courtyard. It can be split into two halves for smaller groups, although a half booking may share the area with another party. Bookings there run for up to four hours. Food packages are casual and made for sharing. The Stable Party package of pizzas and chips is $35 per person, and the Stable Banquet adds four canapés such as oysters, sliders, tacos and lamb ribs for $60 per person. Extras include salumi and cheese boards, salads and a dessert board. Drinks come as two packages: tap beer, cider and soft drinks for $70 per person, or the same with house wines for $90 per person. DJs are not allowed to perform at the venue, so it suits a relaxed afternoon or evening rather than a dance party. The brewery hosts milestone birthdays, Christmas parties, work functions and post-wedding recovery gatherings. Whole-venue hire is offered on weekdays only and not from November through January.
