About Dalywaters Rose Garden & Chapel
Dalywaters Rose Garden & Chapel is a wedding venue on Bungower Road in Mornington, set on a private family property. Twelve acres of former horse paddocks have grown into a country garden of more than 3,000 roses, with a lake, a jetty and a small Pinot Gris vineyard. The chapel is a white weatherboard building with lattice and a turret, covered in climbing white roses. Guests reach it through old iron gates and along a vine-covered bridal walk about 60 metres long, and clear blinds around the chapel keep a ceremony dry whatever the weather. Seated receptions take place in a skylit dining room for up to 80 guests at ten round tables, with a raised stage for the bridal table and a dance floor in front. A wall of windows looks over the gardens, and the room has its own sound system ready for a playlist or a DJ. Couples who prefer something looser can hold a cocktail reception in the garden, with canapés, grazing tables or food trucks and lawn games on the grass. A conservatory suite gives the wedding party a private place to get ready. Packages run from a three-hour ceremony with BYO refreshments, through a garden reception, to a six-hour day with a seated reception and in-house catering. Outside caterers, food vans and cocktail vans are welcome, and drinks can be brought in without corkage. Only one wedding is booked each day, and viewings are by appointment. In-house catering for the seated reception runs at roughly $55 to $100 per person, with drinks from about $20 to $60 per person for two hours. A deposit of $1,000 secures Vow & Portraits and $1,500 secures Garden Gathering, with the balance due four weeks before the wedding.

How many guests can Dalywaters seat for a reception?
The seated reception room holds up to 80 guests at ten round tables, plus a bridal table for up to 10 on a raised stage. The chapel comes set with 70 chairs for the ceremony.
What do the wedding packages cost?
Vow & Portraits, a three-hour ceremony with BYO refreshments and garden photos, is $2,999. Garden Gathering adds a five-hour garden reception for $5,999, and Signature Wedding covers six hours with a seated indoor reception for $6,999.
Can we use our own caterer and bring drinks?
Yes. Third-party caterers, food trucks and cocktail vans are welcome, and couples can bring their own drinks with no corkage. In-house catering is also offered, with canapés from $32 per person and beverage packages from $25 per person.
What happens if it rains?
The chapel has clear blinds all the way around, so the ceremony stays sheltered in wet or windy weather. Garden reception guests are also covered under the sheltered garden area.
Is the venue accessible, and can pets come?
Wheelchairs can reach the chapel, the reception areas and the public toilet, and there are dedicated accessible parking bays in a car park for about 70 cars. Dogs on a leash are welcome.
