About TRM Classics
TRM Classics is a small family business in Sunbury that hires out four British Motor Company Austin Sheerlines for weddings. The cars were coach-built between 1948 and 1950: Winnie and Agnes are the silver pair, Josie is a 1949 Sheerline and Lizzie is a 1950 Sheerline Princess, and Josie and Lizzie wear a vintage white finish. Each one is named, polished and kept for wedding work, and the owners bring them to bridal expos so couples can see them before they book. Every hire comes with a uniformed chauffeur, white ribbon on the bonnet, lace across the rear parcel shelf and a red carpet at the door. Chilled water, umbrellas and hand-held fans travel in all four cars, along with a sewing kit and a first-aid kit for small dramas on the day. Drivers allow time for photographs with the car, and the cars are often booked as a backdrop for the photographer as much as for the ride itself. The silver Sheerlines take four passengers each, as does Josie, while Lizzie, the Princess, seats six, so a bride and her attendants can travel together. Two or more cars can be booked as a matching set for the bridal party and the groom's party. Bookings run for at least two hours. A deposit of $100 per car holds the date and the balance is due 14 days before the wedding. Travel charges apply beyond 50 km from the Sunbury base, and public holidays attract a 20% surcharge. Children under seven cannot ride in the cars, as there is no way to fit a suitable child restraint.

Frequently asked questions
Which cars does TRM Classics have?
Four Austin Sheerlines built by the British Motor Company between 1948 and 1950: two silver cars named Winnie and Agnes, Josie from 1949 and Lizzie, a 1950 Sheerline Princess, both in vintage white.
How many people fit in each car?
The two silver Sheerlines and Josie each carry four passengers. Lizzie, the Sheerline Princess, has room for six, which suits a bride travelling with her attendants.
What is included with the hire?
A uniformed chauffeur, white wedding ribbon, lace on the rear parcel shelf and a red carpet on arrival, plus water, umbrellas and hand fans in every car. Sewing and first-aid kits are carried too.
What is the minimum booking and deposit?
Hires run for a minimum of two hours. A $100 deposit per vehicle secures the date, and the rest of the fee is paid 14 days before the wedding using the couple's name and date as the reference.
Can young children ride in the cars?
No. Children under seven cannot legally travel in the Sheerlines because the classic cars have no fittings for a suitable child restraint seat, so flower girls and page boys need other transport.
