About All About Class
All About Class has been hiring out chauffeured vintage cars for weddings since 1997, working from a showroom in Pascoe Vale South. The fleet is made up of Rolls-Royce Silver Clouds – a 1957 Silver Cloud I, a 1962 Silver Cloud II and a 1963 Silver Cloud III – together with a 1959 Bentley, and couples can choose antique white or classic black to suit their colours. Each car arrives with its driver, a red carpet for stepping out at the church or venue, and a bottle of complimentary champagne. Several cars can be booked together so the bride, the groom and the bridal party travel as a matching set, which also makes for strong group photographs outside the ceremony. Transport rules limit each car to four passengers. The company publishes its prices up front. One hour is $600, two hours $700 and three hours $770, rising to $840 for four hours, $900 for five and $950 for six. Couples who only need a stylish exit at the end of the night can book a reception drive-away from $300. These rates apply within metropolitan Melbourne, with a surcharge possible further out. A $100 deposit per car secures the booking, and the balance is due a week before the wedding. If the day runs late, extra time is charged at $20 per car for every 15 minutes. The cars cannot carry children under seven, as there is no way to fit a proper child restraint.
