About Mustangs in Black
Mustangs in Black is a family business that has been chauffeuring classic Ford Mustangs since 1998. The fleet centres on black 1966 and 1967 convertibles, among them a 1966 Shelby GT350 and two 1967 GT500 Eleanors, one in black and one in silver. There is also a hardtop coupe fitted with Lamborghini-style doors and airbag suspension. Every convertible has an electric roof that can go up or down in moments, several of the cars are air-conditioned, and each carries three to four passengers. Weddings make up much of the work. Packages start at three hours and run up to a full day, covering the trip from home or hotel to the ceremony, the photo locations and the reception. The drivers bring basic refreshments, white bridal ribbons, large golf umbrellas and a red carpet for the bride, and an optional late-night transfer takes the couple from the reception to their hotel. The Mustangs are just as popular for school formals, debutante balls and graduations, where three or four friends can share one car and the cost. Couples also book them for engagement and anniversary outings, groups for hens or bucks nights and birthday surprises, and racegoers for spring racing at Flemington, concerts, sporting events, Christmas parties, corporate functions and surprise proposals.
