About Black Buick Wedding Cars
Black Buick Wedding Cars is a family business in Melbourne's north that hires out a small fleet of classic American Buicks with a chauffeur. The cars date from the late 1940s and early 1950s, all finished in black with chrome grilles and whitewall tyres, and they suit couples who want an old Hollywood feel in their arrival and photos. There are five cars in all. The 1950 Black Buick Convertible has a burgundy interior and seats three passengers, as does the 1948 convertible. Three matching 1948 Black Buick sedans, trimmed in beige with red piping, seat up to four each, so a whole bridal party can travel in convoy. The cabins are generously sized and air-conditioned, and the convertibles look great in photos with the hood down. Every booking is chauffeur driven by an experienced member of the team, and the drivers are known for helping out on the day – moving the car into position for a laneway shot or waiting patiently while the photographer works. The cars are dressed with white ribbons for weddings. Weddings are the main work, but the Buicks are also booked for wedding proposals, birthdays, special events and day tours.
