About Veneto Club

The Veneto Club is an Italian community club at 191 Bulleen Road in Bulleen, with sports facilities, a bistro, a deli and a set of function rooms that hirers can book without being members. Its functions team handles birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, wakes, high teas and corporate days, from a boardroom meeting up to a gala dinner. The main rooms are upstairs. The Gondola Room has floor-to-ceiling windows over the grounds and takes 120 for cocktails or 80 for a banquet. The Rialto Room holds 200 standing or 150 seated and adds two ceiling projectors with pull-down screens. Sala Venezia, on the second floor, holds 600 for cocktails or 400 seated, with a raised stage, and it can be split into smaller sections. Each comes with a bar, dance floor, data projector, screen, handheld microphone and built-in sound. There is also a private dining room off the bistro for up to 20, a decked outdoor area called La Gondola, and La Baracca, an undercover pavilion with barbecues set among lawns and trees. Catering is Italian: plated two, three or four-course menus, shared family-style degustation, cocktail menus with sliders and pasta, and grazing tables from $35 per person for 50 or more. Gondola Room hire starts at $300 for four hours, and weekend events carry a minimum spend that combines room hire, food and drinks. Functions need at least 30 guests, a $500 deposit confirms the date, and events run for four hours with extra time available.

Pricing

Four-hour room hire is $300 for the Gondola Room, $400 for the Rialto Room and $500 for Sala Venezia, including the bar, dance floor and AV. On weekends a minimum spend covering room hire, food and drinks applies: $3,500 for the Gondola or Rialto Room and $8,000 for Sala Venezia. Grazing tables are $35 per person for cold food or $50 per person for hot and cold, with at least 50 guests. The bistro private dining room costs $100 to book from Friday to Sunday, and shared menus there start at $25 per person. A $500 deposit secures the booking, extra hours are $150 each, and public holidays carry a 15% surcharge.

Food

Menus are Italian and cooked in the club kitchen: plated menus with antipasti, pasta, mains and desserts in two, three or four courses, a shared family degustation, cocktail menus of five to seven items, platters for 8 to 10 people, and hot or cold grazing tables. Gluten-free and vegetarian options are marked, and the chef can design a tailored menu. Celebration cakes can be brought in, with a cakeage fee.

Beverages

Every function room has its own fully equipped bar. Bar tabs and other extras from the night are settled at the end of the event. Outside drinks are not permitted in the function rooms.

Are there extra conditions for 21st birthdays?

Yes. 21st birthdays need a refundable security bond paid before the event and security guards on the night at the organiser's cost. All events need a minimum of 30 guests.
