About Three Crowns Hotel
The Three Crowns Hotel has been pouring beers on Victoria Street in West Melbourne since 1867. It is a classic neighbourhood pub with dark green walls, timber booths, 18 beers on tap, a pool table and screens for the footy, and it runs birthdays, work dos and Christmas get-togethers alongside its everyday trade. Tram stop 57 sits right outside. For a private event there are two areas that can be booked exclusively. The Beer Garden is a partly covered outdoor space with greenery, heaters and a TV, seating 42 or taking 70 for a stand-up party, and it is the only area where a PA, live music or other entertainment can be arranged. The Side Dining room is a semi-private indoor space for 28 seated guests with a large screen for presentations. Smaller groups can also reserve tables in the Main Bar (38 seated, 70 standing) or the Dining Room (70 seated), which stay open to other patrons, and larger events can combine spaces or take over the whole pub. Food is either share platters or a sit-down tasting menu. Platter packages cover three, five or seven items from sliders, wings and croquettes to bao and spring rolls, and the tasting menu runs to two or three courses with a choice of proteins. Drinks can be a set package, a bar tab with your own limit, or a cash bar. There is no hire fee for groups under 50, and you are welcome to bring your own cake.
