About The Yorkshire Stingo Hotel
The Yorkshire Stingo Hotel is a corner pub at 48 Hoddle Street in Abbotsford that has been pouring beers for around 140 years. It keeps an old-school front bar alongside a casual dining room, a beer garden that welcomes dogs and a smokers area, and it trades seven days from midday. There are three areas for functions. The Fireplace Nook is a snug spot for smaller groups, seating 20 or holding about 30 standing, and comes into its own on a cold night with the wood fire going. The restaurant suits cocktail parties and sit-down dinners, with room for 60 seated or 90 standing. The beer garden is the big one: leafy, covered over winter, with a bar and a stage of its own, it holds 90 seated or 180 standing, and groups of 120 or more can have it to themselves with the private bar. Food comes as platters of 30 pieces, with hot options such as party pies, sausage rolls, mini chicken parmas and fried chicken tenders, cold bites like prawn skewers and sandwiches, and dessert platters. Vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free choices are marked on the menu, and wagyu sliders can be ordered by the piece. Drinks run on a two or three hour package covering sparkling, white, red and rosé, tap beers, cider, light and non-alcoholic beers and soft drinks, with house spirits as an add-on. A bar tab with your own limits is also available. For entertainment, the pub runs musical bingo for groups, and the functions team will talk through bringing in a band, DJ or trivia host. Sunday roast is delicious. Pork roast with crackling, veggies, Yorkshire pudding, crispy sweet potato and plenty of gravy. 🤤 I'd be more descriptive but the food coma is hitting ☺️
