About The National Hotel
The National Hotel is a corner pub at 344 Victoria Street in Richmond, opening Tuesday to Sunday with a menu of updated pub classics and a long drinks list. Its functions team runs private events for anywhere from 10 to 100 guests – birthdays, engagement parties, end-of-year celebrations, hens gatherings and corporate events – and whole-venue hire can be arranged outside regular trading hours. There are three bookable rooms. The Garden Parlour is the main party space: a modern room with its own private bar, a TV with HDMI input, a microphone and heating, holding 48 seated or up to 60 standing, with tables on the adjoining deck for groups above 50. The Café sits at the front with a fireplace, high bar stools and windows onto Victoria Street, taking 24 seated or 40 standing. The Den is a semi-private dining room off the main bar with exposed brick and its own fireplace for 20. The timber-deck beer garden, strung with lamps made from amber glass bottles, takes group bookings of 6 to 40. Food comes as canapés (a chef's selection of three hot and three cold from $27 per person, or build-your-own packages up to $48 per person), grazers and platters, or a share-style set menu at $60 per person for two courses and $75 for three. Drinks can be a cash bar, a bar tab set to your limit, or packages from $45 per person for two hours. Extras include a GIF photo booth, a jukebox karaoke console, music bingo and a photographer. A 10% deposit, based on the minimum spend, secures the booking.

How do drinks work at a function?
You can run a cash bar, set up a bar tab to a value you choose and limit it to certain drinks, or take a drinks package. Standard packages start at $45 per person for two hours, with premium and ultra tiers and three- or four-hour options.
Is a deposit required?
Yes. Functions are confirmed with a deposit of 10% of the agreed minimum spend, and canapé and platter orders must be finalised and paid 10 days before the event.
Is the venue wheelchair accessible?
Yes. There is step-free access through the side door on Victoria Street and a fully accessible, gender-neutral toilet in the beer garden. Guide and service dogs are welcome throughout.
