About The GlowZone
The GlowZone is a children's party venue on Levanswell Road in Moorabbin where almost everything glows. The lights go down, the UV comes up and bibs, balls and painted walls light up in neon. There are two activity areas. The sports arena hosts glow versions of soccer, netball, cricket, AFL, volleyball, dodgeball, poisonball and mixed games, while the disco room has an interactive dance floor, karaoke, a DJ booth and games like limbo and musical statues. Every party follows the same shape. Children spend the first hour or so on activities with a party host, then move to a party room for the last 30 minutes to eat and cut the cake. The standard parties run for 90 minutes and the deluxe ones for two hours. Mega Combo packages use both the arena and the disco floor, so guests get some sport and some dancing in the one booking. Food is self-catered, so families decide what guests eat and drink. The party rooms have a kitchenette with a fridge, microwave and oven, plus a small freezer that fits an ice cream cake. Most packages need at least 12 children, and two hosts are rostered once numbers reach 16. What is the minimum number of guests?
The 90-minute parties and the Mega Combo packages have a minimum of 12 children. The two-hour deluxe sport party needs at least 16.
Can we bring our own food and cake?
Yes. All parties are self-catered, and the last 30 minutes of each party are set aside in the party room for food and cake. The kitchenette has a fridge, a small freezer, a microwave and an oven, and a bigger fridge and freezer can be arranged on request. An ice cream cake fits as long as the cake and its board stay within 60 cm by 40 cm by 50 cm.
Is there a minimum age?
Children under 5 can't take part in the glow activities. Younger brothers and sisters are welcome to come, but a parent or guardian needs to supervise them the whole time.
How many party hosts will we have?
Standard parties have a party supervisor and a host, and Mega Combo and deluxe disco parties have two hosts. A second host is required once numbers reach 16, for an extra $80 for 16 to 29 guests and $160 for 30 or more. For Mega parties over 30 guests, an extra staff member is added for $80.
