About The Bowery Room @ Builders Arms Hotel
The Builders Arms Hotel has stood on the corner of Gertrude and Gore Streets in Fitzroy since 1853. Today it runs a public bar, a bistro and two private event spaces, both carved out of the original hotel and restored with their old character intact. The Bowery Room is the larger of the two. The room looks out over Gore Street on one side and the pub's courtyard on the other, and it has its own open kitchen and a vintage tiled bar, so food and drinks come straight from inside the space. Set it as one long table for 24 with room to mingle before and after the meal, arrange it for a seated dinner of up to 60, or clear it for a stand-up cocktail party of up to 100. It suits weddings, birthdays and product launches as well as corporate lunches, client dinners, meetings and presentations. The pub's events team builds each function to suit the occasion, with catering and beverage options shaped around your group and budget rather than fixed packages. For smaller groups the hotel also has a Private Dining Room upstairs for 20 seated or 30 standing. Enquiries go through the online event form or the pub's phone line.
