The Postmaster Hotel occupies the old Kew Post Office on High Street, a red-brick building dating from 1888. It now runs as a pub with three bars and six distinct areas, among them a sports bar, a beer garden and a dining room serving pub classics and sharing plates, along with two private function rooms. The Stamps Room is the larger of the two and sits on the ground floor in what was the building's mail sorting room. It holds up to 150 guests for a cocktail party or 80 seated. Gilded mirrors and chandeliers point back to the building's past, a rustic fireplace warms the room in winter, and timber floors leave space for a dance floor or high tables. The pub suggests it for bigger celebrations, weddings and corporate meetings, and the seating can be arranged to suit your plans. Upstairs, the Q-Room in the old postmaster's quarters takes 75 standing or 32 seated for smaller events. Both rooms have audiovisual equipment, and the events team builds each function around a set of packages: seated meals or canapés from the kitchen, a choice of drinks packages, and AV extras. Prices are not published, so ask the team for a quote and a tour of the rooms. For a casual get-together that doesn't need a private room, the team can also suggest other areas of the pub.
