About Sandbelt Club Hotel

The Sandbelt Club Hotel stands on the corner of South and Bignell Roads in Moorabbin. Locals know it for its 200-seat bistro and sports bar, and it also runs two private function spaces for milestone birthdays, engagements, weddings and corporate events, with 33 Nightcap hotel rooms on site for guests who want to stay over. The Eaglemont Room sits at the back of the hotel and seats 80 or holds 120 for a cocktail party. It has its own fully stocked bar, a projector and screen, surround sound and free Wi-Fi. The Southside sports bar, in the middle of the building, is the bigger space at 180 seated or 300 standing. It has a large private bar, a stage with sound and lighting (charged separately), a dance floor, a projector and screen, its own bathrooms and an outdoor area attached. Room layouts can be changed to suit seated dinners or standing events. Catering ranges from platters of finger food at $70 to $90 each, to a buffet for 40 or more at $35 per person for two courses or $45 for three, to a plated set menu at $40 or $50. Cocktail packages bundle everything: from $2,000 for five hours of room hire, staff, five platters for about 50 guests and a $500 bar tab, up to $4,000 for 12 platters and a $1,500 tab. Every package includes a private bar, table linen and a security guard. Dietary needs are handled with notice.

Cocktail packages are $2,000, $2,500, $3,000 and $4,000, each with five hours of room hire, staff, a security guard, private bar and linen, plus five to 12 catering platters and a $500 to $1,500 bar tab. Buffets for 40 or more are $35 per person for two courses and $45 for three; the plated set menu is $40 or $50 per person. Platters are $70, $80 or $90 each.

Food

Platter selections include samosas, spring rolls, mini quiches, pies and sausage rolls, mini pizzas, arancini, satay and lamb skewers, and calamari, with sliders, dips, antipasto, vegan and gluten-free platters as extras. The buffet includes soup, roasts such as beef, pork and turkey, vegetables and desserts. The set menu offers scallops, calamari, salmon, chicken supreme, porterhouse and lamb cutlets. Dietary requirements are catered for with notice.
