About Post Office Hotel
The Post Office Hotel stands at 229-231 Sydney Road in Coburg, on the route 19 tram and close to Coburg Station on the Upfield line. As well as the pub dining, it has an onsite brewery, live music and a bottle shop, and an events team that runs functions and weddings across six spaces, from small private dinners to large cocktail parties. The Dining Hall is the main event space: a light-filled, warehouse-style room under cathedral ceilings and exposed timber beams, lit by vintage pendants, seating 150 or holding 250 standing. Every Dining Hall booking includes the Deck and Back Bar, a leafy covered outdoor area for canapés on arrival. Half the Dining Hall seats 80 or holds 120, and an Intimate Dining set-up puts up to 24 at one banquet table with a private bar and waiter. On the pub side, the Boardroom has a gas fireplace, a leadlight window and a sliding barn door for 20 seated or 30 standing, and the Dining Room, with exposed brick and bi-fold doors to a leafy courtyard, seats 56 or holds 80, or half that when divided. Seated events choose a share-style Feasting Banquet or a Slow Roast menu; cocktail events graze on canapés with an optional antipasto table, and extras run from an oyster station to a candy bar. Drinks can be a timed package, a premium package with house spirits as an option, or a bar tab with a set limit. Personalised menus, welcome signage, linen-feel napkins, tea lights, a cordless microphone and a staff-run playlist are included. Each space has a minimum spend that changes with day and time.
