About Partyworld Karaoke
Partyworld Karaoke sits on level 3 of the Melbourne Central shopping centre on La Trobe Street, in the middle of the Melbourne CBD. It runs as a karaoke bar built around private rooms, so each group has its own space with a screen, lounge seating and its own sound system, and it trades every day from 1:30pm until 3am. There are 44 rooms in four sizes. Small rooms hold up to six, medium rooms up to ten, large rooms up to 14 and party rooms between 15 and 25 guests. The rooms are fitted with long red leather banquettes, low tables and wall screens, and the song system carries more than 400,000 titles across more than ten languages, among them English, Korean, Chinese, Thai, Japanese, Hindi, Vietnamese and Spanish. Some rooms let you play music from your phone, which is worth asking about when you enquire. For work events, a laptop can be connected to the room projector so a short presentation can run before the singing starts. Food comes from a kitchen focused on regional Chinese cooking, with snacks, dumplings and sharing platters delivered to the room. Groups can pick a per-person package, which includes one or two drinks and a set amount of karaoke time, or hire a room for the night with a food and drink credit built into the price. Outside food and drinks are not permitted, though a birthday cake is welcome. A $100 deposit holds a large or party room, and alcohol is served from 7pm.

How many guests can one room hold?
The party rooms take groups of 15 to 25. Large rooms suit up to 14, medium rooms up to ten and small rooms up to six, across 44 rooms in total.
What do the packages cost?
On Sunday to Thursday nights a per-person package is $35, covering one drink and three hours of karaoke. On Friday, Saturday and public holiday eves it is $45 with two drinks and two hours. An extra hour adds $10 a person.
Can we bring our own food, drinks or cake?
Outside food and drinks are not allowed, and a corkage charge applies if drinks are brought in. A birthday cake is fine to bring along.
Is a deposit needed?
Yes, large and party rooms need a $100 deposit to secure the booking. It is refunded if you cancel at least 48 hours ahead, and forfeited for later cancellations or no-shows.
Can we run a presentation for a work event?
Yes. Rooms have a projector you can connect to, so a work group can combine a short presentation with the party. Send an enquiry to book.
