About Northcote Social Club
The Northcote Social Club is a pub and live music venue on High Street, in a building dating back to the late 1800s. A refit has given it warm timber, softer lighting and greenery climbing over metal screens, and it runs a bar and kitchen seven days alongside its gigs. Northcote Station and the 86 tram are both close by. Functions use three main areas. The Upper Deck is a covered, semi-private space with heating and ceiling fans that suits 50 seated or standing, and it can open onto the beer garden. Next to it, the Lower Deck holds the same numbers and has a retractable roof, heaters and table service, with the bar and bathrooms close at hand. The Old Bottleshop is the smallest room, with leather booths and window seats looking onto High Street, for up to 30. Bigger gatherings and exclusive use of the whole venue can be discussed with the functions team, and the bandroom, with its own bar and AV, can be hired for larger corporate events. Catering is built around canapés, grazing items and platters, from a chef's selection of six canapés at $25 per person for groups of 20 or more. Platters of sausage rolls, pies, calamari or spring rolls, and cheese or charcuterie boards are also available, or groups can pre-order from the à la carte menu. Drinks are arranged as a bar tab or a cash bar. The venue does not take bookings for bucks or hens parties, or for 18th and 21st birthdays.

How much does function catering cost?
A chef's selection of three cold and three hot canapés is $25 per person for a minimum of 20 guests. Individual canapés start at $4.50 each, grazing items are $7 and platters range from $70 to $140.
How do drinks work for a function?
You can set up a bar tab with a limit that can be raised during the event, or run a cash bar where guests buy their own drinks.
Are there any events the venue won't host?
Yes. The venue does not accept bucks parties, hens parties, or 18th and 21st birthday parties.
Is the venue accessible and can dogs come?
Wheelchair access is through the middle door on High Street. Dogs are allowed in outdoor areas only, until 6pm.

The Bandroom was a good fit for the 200ish crowd at the Beloved Records Social Sanctuary gig. Sound was spot on for the three acts. Clear vocals, punchy drums and some lovely bass lines. Great venue.

Love the place.Suits for small, big group or just couple. Been there with different group and love it. Steak night is good for pocket and tastes yum. Staff are helpful and atmosphere is great.
