Chiki Chan is a modern Asian restaurant on Centreway in Mordialloc, with Hiki Bar, its neon-lit cocktail bar, under the same roof. The kitchen mixes Melbourne dining with Asian flavours, from burrata with Szechuan chilli oil to a Malaysian take on roast chicken. The Level 1 Event Space sits above the main dining room as a private floor of its own. It gets plenty of natural light, has gold finishes and is lit by sculptural light fittings, with a glass wall that glows in the evening. The room seats 48 to 70 guests and works either as a seated dinner or as a cocktail party with guests on their feet. The events team lists birthdays, engagements, weddings, corporate dinners and end-of-year celebrations among the events it hosts there. Groups dine on the Feed Me menus, which are shared across the table and served with jasmine rice. Chiki It Up is $50 per person for two small plates, two large plates and a side, and larger banquets run to $60 and $75 per person. Vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free dishes are marked across the menu. The wine list, international craft beers and cocktails come from the restaurant and Hiki Bar.
