About First & Last Hotel
The First & Last Hotel is a long-standing local pub on Sydney Road, with a bistro, a sports bar with pool tables and screens, and a dedicated function room upstairs. It trades seven days and runs its kitchen for lunch and dinner every day, and there is free parking on site for corporate bookings. The Private Function Room sits on the first floor, reached by stairs. It gets plenty of daylight, has its own fully stocked bar and private bathrooms, and opens onto an outdoor balcony for smokers. It takes up to 80 for a cocktail party, 70 for a seated lunch or dinner, 80 theatre-style or 30 around a boardroom table, and comes with a projector, free wifi and wireless music connection. For smaller groups, the upper bistro area in the middle of the restaurant is semi-private and holds about 60 standing or 40 seated, with tables cleared away for bigger gatherings. Most parties book one of the all-inclusive packages. In the function room these run for five hours and include staff and security, a gift or cake table, AV, a set number of platters and a bar tab; the upper bistro packages are shorter and lighter. Platters range from party pies and dim sims to seafood, antipasto, sliders and gluten-free options, each feeding roughly eight to ten people. Seated groups of 20 adults or more can choose a two- or three-course set menu served alternately. A DJ, photo booth and tea and coffee station can be added, and dietary needs are handled with notice.
