About Eating House
Eating House is a restaurant, cafe and bar at Wellington Village on Wellington Road, Rowville, open daily from breakfast through dinner. Inside it is all warm timber, a long bar and a wall of wine bottles, and the team runs functions across six distinct areas, hosting events of up to 262 people when spaces are combined. The Dining Room is the main space, built around a feature fireplace and seating up to 120. The Bar suits stand-up drinks and tapas, with room for 30 seated or 60 standing. For smaller groups there is The Cellar, a private dining room for 10 at a solid English elm table surrounded by around a thousand bottles, and The Room, a raised platform overlooking the dining room for 12. Outside, The Bench is a heated alfresco area at the front for 40, and The Marquee is enclosed against wind and rain, heated in winter and fitted with its own bar, beer taps and background music, seating 100 or holding 120 standing. A minimum spend may apply when you want exclusive use or a private bar. Function menus need at least 10 guests. Tapas, Asian or Mediterranean share menus and the Italian Job pizza-and-pasta package all start at $35 per person, with bigger Italian packages at $45 and $55. A three-course Special Set is $45.90 per person, and the plated set menu is $49.90 for two courses or $62.90 for three. Decor packages add themed balloons, tea lights, fairy lights and personalised menus, and the kitchen handles vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free needs with a week's notice. A 40 per cent deposit, capped at $500, secures the booking.
