About Brighton Beach Hotel
Brighton Beach Hotel sits on the Esplanade in Brighton, directly across the road from the sand. The building began life in the 1840s as the Royal Terminus Hotel and its Georgian-style frontage is classified by the National Trust. Downstairs you'll find a bistro, an alfresco courtyard and a sports bar, while the function rooms are upstairs, looking out over Port Phillip Bay. The Bayview Room is the main event space on the first floor. It has a fully stocked bar, a dance floor, AV equipment and an outdoor balcony for smokers, and it seats up to 200 for dinner or holds a larger cocktail crowd. Next door, the Esplanade Room suits smaller seated dinners and gatherings of around 60, and the two rooms can be joined. Downstairs, the Beer Garden offers a non-smoking, heated function area with built-in communal seating, a grassed section and part of the bar set aside for your group. Catering runs from canapé packages starting at $32 per person (minimum 20 guests) to two- and three-course set menus at $65 and $75 per person, served alternate drop, with pizza boards and sweets as extras. Drinks can be handled with a package of three to five hours, a bar tab with a limit you set, or guests buying their own at bar prices. Room hire for the Bayview Room starts at $250 Monday to Thursday and $500 Friday to Sunday, while the Beer Garden has no hire fee but carries a minimum spend.
