About Berth
Berth is a restaurant and event venue at 45 Newquay Promenade, on the water in the NewQuay part of Docklands. Downstairs it trades as a Mediterranean-leaning restaurant from Tuesday to Sunday, and upstairs is a purpose-built function room with floor-to-ceiling windows facing Victoria Harbour and the city, plus a balcony over the marina. It hosts weddings, engagements, milestone birthdays, christenings, Christmas parties and corporate events. The upstairs room is a single open space that is reset for each event, from a long-table dinner to round tables or a cocktail layout. It holds up to 80 for a seated meal and 150 for a cocktail party. There is lift access, an in-house audio system with surround sound that takes your own device, and screens for presentations. Day functions run four hours and finish by 4pm, evening functions run four hours between 6pm and midnight, and the balcony closes at 11pm. Function food can be roaming canapés and handheld mini meals, shared dining or a formal seated menu with canapés or shared starters on arrival, built with the events team around your numbers and dietary needs. Group set menus are published from $79 per person, with drinks packages from $40 per person for two hours. Couples can hold the ceremony downstairs for $2,000 and the reception upstairs. A venue hire fee may apply if numbers fall below the seasonal minimum.

How long do functions run?
Day functions run for four hours and finish by 4pm; evening functions run for four hours between 6pm and midnight. Weddings are based on five hours. The balcony is licensed until 11pm.
Can we play our own music?
Yes. The room has an in-house audio system with surround sound and a subwoofer that your device can plug into. Test your files beforehand, and any live entertainment needs management approval.
Can we hold a wedding ceremony at Berth?
Yes. The ceremony package is $2,000 and includes setup for around 40 to 50 chairs with covers and sashes, a red or white carpet, a signing table and use of the audio equipment, with the reception upstairs afterwards.
