Anglers Tavern sits on Anglers Way in Maribyrnong, right on the bank of the Maribyrnong River. Downstairs it runs as a local pub with a bistro, a sports bar and a large beer garden, while the whole of Level One is set aside for private events, with floor-to-ceiling windows looking over the river. The first floor splits into two rooms. The River Room seats up to 140 or holds 200 standing, with a private bar, its own amenities and a door straight onto an outdoor courtyard. The Chifley Room takes 80 seated or 120 standing and also has its own bar, entry and a small outdoor area. Booked together as Level One Exclusive, they hold up to 150 seated or 300 cocktail-style, with two bars, a private entrance and a dedicated arrival point. For more casual gatherings there is the partly covered Bistro Deck (up to 60 standing), sections of the beer garden (up to 180 across the whole garden), and The Nook inside the sports bar, a stand-up space for about 40 that suits smaller birthdays and hens parties. Function food runs from roaming canapé packages of six, eight or ten pieces to shared two- and three-course set menus, with grazing tables, oyster and pizza stations, dessert tables and late-night snacks as extras. Drinks can be a classic, premium or deluxe package for two to four hours, a bar tab with a limit you set, or a cash bar. The rooms come with a projector screen, cordless microphones, a lectern, a PA and DJ input, and the events team helps plan the layout and running order.
