About Having A Party
Having A Party is an event hire company working from a warehouse on Maroondah Highway in Ringwood, with more than 20 years of supplying marquees and party equipment around Melbourne. It is set up so you can source the marquee, furniture, lighting, flooring and catering gear from one team rather than several suppliers. Marquees are the core of the business. The Pro-Matrix frame range runs from a 3 by 3 metre structure up to 6 metre widths extending to 70 metres, 12 metre spans and hexagonal modules, with the 12 by 43 metre quad hex seating up to 400 guests in rows. Pop-up marquees cover markets, sports days and smaller gatherings. Published size charts list standing, trestle, round-table and dance-floor capacities for each size. Around the marquee you can hire tables, chairs including kids' sizes, service bars, market umbrellas, white picket fencing, marquee flooring, dance floors and carpet runners, heaters and fans, crockery, cutlery, glassware, linen and catering equipment. For the lighting there are fairy lights, chandeliers, paper lanterns, roof colour wash and a disco range of spots, lasers, mirror balls, bubble and snow machines and smoke effects. The uniformed crew delivers, installs to your layout and collects after the event, with usual delivery hours of 8am to 4pm Monday to Saturday and out-of-hours runs possible on request. What size marquees does Having A Party hire?
The Pro-Matrix range starts at 3 by 3 metres and grows to 6 metre widths up to 70 metres long, 12 metre spans and hex modules. The 12 by 43 metre quad hex seats up to 400 guests.
Can they supply furniture and tableware as well?
Yes. The hire list covers tables, chairs, bars, umbrellas, picket fencing, flooring, dance floors, heaters, fans, crockery, cutlery, glassware, linen and catering equipment, so one booking can cover the whole event.
Do they hire party lighting?
Yes. Options include fairy lights, chandeliers, paper lanterns and roof colour wash for the marquee, plus disco spots, lasers, mirror balls, bubble and snow machines and smoke effects for the dance floor.
Is delivery and setup included?
Delivery is quoted door to door at ground level, and the crew installs the equipment to your layout and collects it afterwards. Extra charges can apply if items go upstairs or more than 20 metres from the truck.
Can I pick up the hire gear myself?
Yes. Collections and warehouse visits in Ringwood are by appointment, so call ahead to arrange a time and the team will have your order ready when you arrive.
