About Hoppers Party Hire

Hoppers Party Hire is a family-run equipment hire business based in Melbourne's western suburbs, run by Richard and his team. It supplies the gear for weddings, engagement parties, backyard birthdays, corporate functions, trade shows, school events and sporting days. Marquees and structures are the core of the range. Each one is cleaned before it goes out and is erected by qualified staff on whatever surface the site has. Flooring can then go down inside: polypropylene roll-out matting, carpet tiles, artificial turf, raised timber floors and platforms, dance floors, red carpet runners and even swimming pool covers. Furniture covers both seated and standing set-ups. Tables include trestle, banquet and round tables, barrel and chrome bar tables, pallet tables and slatted garden tables. Seating runs from white padded folding chairs and wicker or bistro garden chairs to bar stools, children's chairs and couches, with no minimum order on chairs. To finish the space there are gas and electric heaters, pedestal and floor fans, lantern and fairy lights, hanging shades, chandeliers, disco lighting, configurable stages for bands, DJs and bridal parties, plus cutlery and glassware. Staff deliver and set up on site. Send an enquiry with guest numbers and requirements for a quote.

Frequently asked questions

Can a marquee go up on a hard surface?

Yes. Hoppers says its marquees can be erected on any surface, and every installation is handled by one of its qualified staff members rather than left for the hirer to put together.

What flooring can go inside a marquee?

Options include slip-resistant polypropylene roll-out flooring, carpet tiles, artificial turf, raised timber floors and platforms, dance floors, red carpet runners and swimming pool coverings, all installed by the team.

Is there a minimum order for chairs?

No. Chairs are delivered and set up with no minimum order, and the range includes white padded folding chairs, garden chairs, bar stools, children's chairs and couches.

Can a large marquee be heated in winter?

Yes. The heating range of gas patio, blower and radiant heaters plus electric radiant heaters covers spaces from a garage up to a 30 m by 30 m marquee, and fans are available in summer.

How do I get a price?

Prices are not published. Send an enquiry with your guest numbers and what you need, and the team will put together a free, no-obligation quote with good-value options for the event.
