About Escape Hunt Melbourne
Escape Hunt Melbourne occupies a ground-floor venue at 190 Queen St in the CBD, close to the Little Bourke St corner and an easy walk from Melbourne Central station. Each game takes place in a richly themed room built like a film set, and your team has 60 minutes to work through codes, locks and hidden clues to complete the mission. Rooms on the Melbourne line-up include Aladdin & the Magic Vault, the most family-friendly of the set, the Prohibition-era Law & Disorder, Redacted, which sends players into a secret outback facility, and Zodiac Heist, set in an abandoned mineshaft lair. Most rooms take two to six players, and bigger groups simply book several rooms to play at the same time, which suits birthdays, hens and bucks nights, team socials and end-of-year parties. Allow about 90 minutes in total, with a briefing before you start. Game masters offer hints if the team gets stuck, the doors are never actually locked, and lockers are provided for bags and phones. Comfortable clothes are the only dress code. Games are PG unless stated, and under-16s must play with an adult aged over 18. Non-alcoholic drinks are sold on site, and while there is no kitchen, the team can arrange catering for an event; the surrounding CBD streets are full of places to eat afterwards. For corporate groups and schools, Escape Hunt Melbourne also offers team-building and excursion packages, and staff help plan in-venue Christmas parties.
