The team moves between current hits, house, R&B, rock, disco and 80s to 2000s classics, and takes requests that fit. The setup looks tidy in a formal room: Pioneer CDJs and mixer, a white DJ booth, quality speakers, party lighting and a wireless microphone. Bigger packages add uplights, 360-degree tube lights, a smoke or haze machine where the venue allows it, and a dry ice machine for a first dance. MCs from the team can run the formalities, working from your run sheet for introductions, speeches, presentations and announcements. That makes the DJ and MC package a natural fit for gala dinners, presentation nights and wedding receptions. The DJ arrives up to an hour early for setup and soundcheck, and setup and pack-down cost nothing extra. How much does a Melbourne DJ Services DJ cost?
The published guide for DJ, sound and standard lighting is $750 for three hours, $800 for four and $850 for five, and party packages start from $799. An MC, travel and extra lighting are priced on top.
Can the DJ also MC the event?
Yes. The team includes dedicated MCs, and the DJ and MC package covers introductions, speeches, presentations and announcements from your run sheet. If you already have an MC, a wireless microphone is supplied.
Can we choose the music?
Yes. Send preferred genres, up to 40 must-play songs and a do-not-play list before the event. The DJ uses that as direction and reads the crowd on the night, taking suitable requests.
What lighting and effects are available?
Party lighting is standard, with uplights, 360-degree pixel tubes and a smoke or haze machine available on bigger packages where the venue permits. A dry ice machine can be added for a first dance.
How is a booking secured?
After the quote is agreed, a $200 deposit secures the date and the balance is due about a week before the event. A planning questionnaire follows so the music and timeline can be locked in.
