About Jade Entertainment
Jade Entertainment is a Melbourne dance and entertainment company that sends trained performers to weddings, birthdays, work functions, club nights and festivals. Its core act is Brazilian samba, performed in elaborate feathered costumes with fast, upbeat choreography. The dance shows are packaged by length and troupe size. Rio Samba is a 15-minute show with three dancers, and Latin Fusion stretches to 30 minutes with five or more, adding meet-and-greet photos and audience participation. Burn It Up and Fire & Feathers follow the same pattern but combine fire performers with the samba dancers. Backup dancers with custom choreography and podium dancers performing three 10-minute sets in three costume changes are also available. For something that moves through the crowd, the roving characters work in pairs across three 15-minute sets: butterflies with Isis wings, birds of paradise with large wings, angels, and LED-lit performers. A roving fire act runs three 10-minute sets. Weddings are a big part of the work. The team can take care of a hens night – two hours combining a dance class, dress-ups in costumes and props for the bride-to-be, games and a show – and coach the bridal party through a surprise wedding dance.
