About Entertainment Dance Creations
Entertainment Dance Creations is a Melbourne dance company created by dancer, choreographer and creative director Ekaterina Kourilova. She trained in performing arts and dance at Dance World 301, danced in production shows aboard Costa Cruises ships, and lived in Brazil, where she learned samba in its home country. That background shapes the company's signature shows, and she designs and sews the feathered, crystal-covered costumes herself. The Latin shows come in three sizes. The Fiesta package is a 15-minute routine for two or more dancers mixing salsa, samba and cha cha. The White Latin Show runs 20 to 30 minutes with at least three dancers, and the Grand Latin Show is a 30-minute performance with five or more. The two larger shows include photos with the dancers, and all three get guests up and joining in. Beyond samba, the troupe performs themed acts: Gatsby flappers doing the Charleston, Moulin Rouge and can-can cabaret, Vegas showgirls in tall headdresses, a James Bond show with Bond-girl costumes and song medleys, and a 70s disco set. Elegant ballerinas and themed dancers can also mingle as meet-and-greet entertainment. The company performs at corporate functions, gala dinners, product launches, weddings, Christmas and New Year parties, hens celebrations and private parties. What Latin show packages are there?
Three: Fiesta (15 minutes, two or more dancers), the White Latin Show (20 to 30 minutes, three or more dancers) and the Grand Latin Show (30 minutes, five or more dancers). Each one invites guests to join in.
Can guests have photos taken with the dancers?
Yes. The White Latin Show and Grand Latin Show both include a chance for guests to pose for photos with the costumed dancers after the routine.
Which themes can the dancers perform?
Along with Brazilian samba and Latin shows, the troupe offers Gatsby flappers, Moulin Rouge and can-can cabaret, Vegas showgirls, a James Bond themed show, disco dancers, commercial dancers and ballerinas.
Who makes the costumes?
Founder Ekaterina Kourilova designs and handcrafts the costumes, so every production has its own look and can be matched to the theme of your event.
Can the dancers greet guests rather than perform a show?
Yes. Ballerinas, Gatsby flappers, showgirls and samba dancers are all available for meet-and-greet entertainment as guests arrive at weddings, galas, launches and work parties.
