About Busy Entertainment

Busy Entertainment is an events entertainment agency based in Melbourne. It books performers for company functions, community celebrations and private parties, and builds each line-up around the venue, the crowd and the timing of the night. Events across Melbourne are covered, with a travel fee for outer locations. Fire artists work with a range of props, and every fire booking includes a trained safety marshal. LED rovers use light-up hoops, fans, poi, pixel whips and staffs, and can have visuals programmed to suit the event. Hula hoop rovers, giant bubble rovers, stilt walkers, silk fan dancers and podium dancers mingle with guests, and circus artists – lyra, contortion, juggling, acrobatics – are matched to each brief. Live body painting is offered as a longer art performance that develops through the evening. Families use the same agency for children's birthdays. Party packages mix balloon twisting, glitter tattoos and games with prizes, outdoor bubble shows need a grassy or gravel area, and disco parties come with sound, lights and a bubble machine. Face painters and hair braiders can be added, and themed characters appear for Christmas, Easter and Halloween.

Roving acts generally run for an hour or more, activation spaces for two hours or more, and fire shows can be as short as 15 minutes. Fire bookings include a safety marshal. Giant bubbles need natural ground, kids' discos bring their own sound, lighting and bubble machine, and indoor bubble work may need heaters and fans turned off.

Frequently asked questions

Does a fire performance come with safety cover?

Yes. Every fire booking includes a trained fire safety marshal on site, and the performers are insured and use quality fuels, so the venue and guests are looked after during the show.

What kinds of roving acts can Busy Entertainment provide?

Options include LED performers with light-up hoops, fans and poi, hula hoop rovers, giant bubble rovers, stilt walkers, silk fan and podium dancers, plus circus artists such as acrobats, jugglers and contortionists.

What surface do the giant bubble acts need?

Giant bubble shows work on natural ground – grass, gravel, tanbark or dirt – rather than concrete. Indoor bubble parties can be arranged, though heaters and fans may need to be switched off.

Can the agency entertain children at a birthday as well?

Yes. Kids' packages combine balloon twisting, glitter tattoos and party games with prizes, and there are outdoor bubble parties, disco parties with lights and sound, face painting and hair braiding.

How is payment handled and what if the date changes?

Full payment is generally due one to two weeks before the event and deposits are non-refundable. Rescheduling attracts a fee that depends on how much notice is given and whether the same artist can attend.
