About Olivia Ferraro
Olivia Ferraro is a marriage celebrant and MC based in Reservoir, in Melbourne's north. She has conducted more than 200 ceremonies over nine years, and her focus is on getting to know each couple well enough to tell their story in a way that feels relaxed, funny and personal. Planning starts around five months out. Couples fill in a questionnaire that gathers the details for the Notice of Intended Marriage, then meet Olivia in person to sign it and talk through how they met, the proposal and what they value in each other. A draft ceremony follows about a month before the date so it can be edited together, or kept as a surprise. There are three packages. Essential covers a 15-minute ceremony with the legal paperwork, printed vows and rehearsal notes by email. Signature runs 20 to 30 minutes and adds vow-writing help, a Bose speaker and microphone, music coordination and a video-call rehearsal, while Elevated also brings a signing table and chairs if the venue lacks them, plus an in-person rehearsal at the venue. On the day Olivia arrives an hour early to set up, and afterwards she lodges the signed documents with Births, Deaths and Marriages. She can also stay on as master of ceremonies for the reception, working with the venue and suppliers and keeping speeches, meals and the first dance on time. Published extras: MC service $800, with a further $200 to stay until the couple's departure. A $350 deposit secures the date, travel past the included distance is $1.50 per kilometre, and a registered marriage certificate can be ordered for $100 with the Essential package.
Service Details
Signature: a 20 to 30 minute ceremony adding vow-writing samples, a Bose speaker with stand and microphone, music coordination, a video-call rehearsal and the registered marriage certificate by Express Post, with 70 km included. Elevated adds a signing table and two chairs if needed, an on-site rehearsal and 100 km of travel.
Frequently asked questions
What does the Essential ceremony package include?
Essential covers a 15-minute ceremony with one meeting, a relationship questionnaire, all the legal paperwork including NOIM lodgement, printed vows in a folder and rehearsal notes sent by email. Amplification and music cues are not included in this package.
Does Olivia bring a sound system?
Yes, with the Signature and Elevated packages. Both include a Bose S1 Pro speaker on a stand, a Sennheiser microphone and Spotify music coordination run by Olivia during the ceremony.
How far will Olivia travel for a ceremony?
Her base is Reservoir, and each package includes a return travel allowance: 30 km for Essential, 70 km for Signature and 100 km for Elevated. Beyond that, travel is charged at $1.50 per kilometre.
Can Olivia also be our MC?
Yes. Her MC service runs from the end of the ceremony until the dance floor opens and covers announcements, liaising with the venue and suppliers, and a dedicated MC run sheet. She can stay to the end of the night for an extra fee.
How do we lock in a date with Olivia?
After an initial chat and a video meet-and-greet, a $350 deposit secures the date and the balance of the package is due one month before the ceremony. An itemised invoice and receipt are issued.
