About Boydell's
Boydell's is the cellar door, wine bar and restaurant of a family wine company, set in a heritage slab hut at 2 Green Street in the riverside village of Morpeth. The vineyard itself sits further north on the family farm at East Gresford, beside the Allyn River below the Barrington Tops, while the Morpeth venue is where guests taste, drink and dine. The restaurant takes private and corporate functions, and any group of 10 or more is handled through its events enquiry. For a party of its own, the whole venue can be hired exclusively for up to 50 guests, with the seating arranged around your event. The rooms are rustic and warm, with timber walls, wine displays and long tables, and the adjoining wine bar has leather lounges for pre-dinner drinks. Exclusive hire is available for lunch or dinner from Thursday to Saturday and for lunch on Sunday, with a minimum spend of $7,000. The kitchen builds a set three-course menu for functions at $125 per person from seasonal, locally sourced produce, served either alternate-drop or share-style, and canapés can be added on arrival at $7.50 each per guest. Two beverage packages pour the estate's own wines with local beer: the regional range at $50 per person or the reserve range at $70 per person. A deposit of $25 per person secures the date, final numbers and dietaries are due 10 days ahead, and a 10% surcharge applies on Sundays and public holidays. It suits milestone birthdays, anniversaries, engagement dinners and corporate lunches.
