About Acacia Dining
Acacia Dining is a modern restaurant on High Street in Maitland, set up by chef Reece Hignell around local produce and community. It trades seven days, moving from morning coffee and brunch through to evening dining. For private events there are two options. The upstairs private dining room looks out over the Maitland Levee and the Hunter River, and suits a formal dinner, a cocktail party or a small conference. That room seats 30, or holds 40 for a canapé event. Booking the whole venue opens up the upstairs room, the downstairs dining room and the terrace, seating 50 across the two levels or taking 80 to 100 guests for canapés. The terrace is not booked on its own, since the weather can't be relied on. The seated menu runs to sourdough with caramelised onion butter, a local cheese and charcuterie board, lamb shoulder and hand-rolled gnocchi with a rocket salad, then basque cheesecake. The canapé menu covers croquettes, bruschetta, beetroot and feta tarts, salt and pepper squid and jerk chicken skewers, with substantial options such as prawn rolls, sliders and bao buns added per person. Drinks run on a bar tab: you set the amount and choose from wines, bottled beer, local brews, ciders and cocktails. Signature cocktails or champagne can greet guests as they arrive. The team works with each host to shape the event, whether it is a milestone birthday, a corporate lunch, a family gathering or an intimate wedding. Send an enquiry to start planning.

Frequently asked questions

Are dietary needs catered for?
