About Wed By Kez Celebrant
Kez, whose real name is Kerryn, has been marrying couples across the Hunter since 2009 and has more than 900 ceremonies to her name. She is a trained opera singer, a former radio DJ and a self-described loud, nerdy people pleaser, and her ceremonies are relaxed, light-hearted and personal, with plenty of laughter alongside the emotional moments. Every ceremony is scripted to suit the couple. Before the day you receive a draft, so the dates and details of your story are right and any teasing suits the mood of the event. She aims to have you legally married within about thirty minutes, including the walk down the aisle, the signing and the cheer at the end, and arrives half an hour ahead of the agreed start time. Her fee covers an obligation-free first meeting online or in person, unlimited phone and email support, a custom-written ceremony, an optional online run-through, the Bose PA on the day with Bluetooth for your music, lodgement of the legal documents and help applying for your marriage certificate. She recommends a friend or coordinator handles the music cues while she gives the nods. Kez welcomes couples of every gender, identity and background, and also writes commitment ceremonies, elopements, quick registry-style weddings and baby namings. Her vow books and podcast are available to help couples write their own words.

Weekend Hunter Valley ceremonies, Friday to Sunday, start from $1200 depending on the venue. Elopements from $900 and registry-style legal weddings from $700.
Do we see the ceremony before the wedding?
Yes. Kez sends a draft script so you can check the dates and details are right and approve the tone, including any jokes at your expense.
How long is a Wed By Kez ceremony?
About thirty minutes in total, covering the walk down the aisle, the ceremony itself, signing the documents and the cheer for the newlyweds.
Does Kez bring a microphone and PA?
Yes. She uses a Bose PA, and you can connect a device by Bluetooth to play your ceremony music. A friend or coordinator usually handles the music cues.
