About Bidja Estate

Bidja Estate is a family-run wedding property on Footts Road in Ourimbah, set among paddocks, gardens and a pocket of rainforest. Couples take exclusive use of the grounds for their wedding, with access from midday the day before so they and their suppliers can set up, and the estate works as a blank canvas that couples style themselves. The reception happens in the red barn, fitted with timber barn doors, a small bar and bifold doors that open onto a paved dance floor lit with festoons. Set up for dinner it seats 160, or it takes 180 for a standing canapé reception, and it doubles as the wet-weather fallback. Ceremonies can be held in a clearing framed by palms in the rainforest, in the gardens or out in the paddocks. The hire includes trestle tables, 200 white Tiffany chairs, bar stools, wine barrels, glassware, a cool room, three accessible ensuite bathrooms and the prop shed of arbours, easels and candelabras. Food and drink are brought in by the couple: any caterer with public liability insurance can be used, and alcohol may be supplied as long as it is poured by RSA-qualified bartenders from the estate's approved vendor list. Couples also arrange their own sound system. On weekends music finishes at midnight, and midweek at 10pm. The packages include two nights in onsite accommodation for the couple, and there is camping or glamping space for guests.

Beverages

Couples may bring their own alcohol, poured by RSA-qualified bartenders picked from the estate's approved vendor list. Friends with RSA qualifications cannot be used. The barn has its own bar, and wine, champagne and water glasses are included.
