About Yarra Valley Grand Hotel
The Yarra Valley Grand Hotel stands on the Bell Street service road in the middle of Yarra Glen. It opened in 1888 as the Burgoyne Hotel, took its present name in 1905 and is classified by the National Trust. Functions can use seven areas of the pub, each with its own size and feel. The Library is an intimate room with an open fire and ornate decor for about 15, while the Dining Room is a private, semi-formal space with its own amenities and a fireplace, taking 35 seated or 45 standing. For cocktail-style events, the Front Bar has high tables, a billiards table, a fireplace and easy access to the bar, holding around 60 standing. Outside, the Side Deck takes up to 50 for a more relaxed gathering. Several more areas can be combined for bigger groups, and the team will suggest the best fit for your numbers. The hotel hosts birthday parties, Christmas functions, hens parties, corporate events and celebrations either side of a wedding. Groups of up to 20 can order from the à la carte menu; bigger groups move to a set menu of shared entrées, a choice of mains and desserts, from $61 per person for two courses. Platters of sliders, arancini, dumplings, pies and oysters are also on offer, and vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free diets are catered for. How much is the function set menu?
The set menu is $61 per person for two courses or $73 per person for three. Up to 20 guests can order à la carte; above that, a set menu or a reduced à la carte menu is required.
What drinks packages are available?
Standard packages are $48 per person for two hours, $61 per person for three and $75 per person for four. Premium runs from $59 to $87 per person and Deluxe from $71 to $98 per person, depending on length. For 20 or more guests you can add a spirit upgrade at $29 per person or an arrival cocktail at $15 per person.
Is the hotel wheelchair accessible?
No. Access to the venue is by stairs and there are no accessible bathrooms on site.
Is there catering for daytime corporate events?
Yes. On weekdays there is a morning or afternoon tea package from 11am at $19 per person, and a working lunch of sandwiches, wraps, fruit, coffee, tea, juice and soft drinks at $29 per person between 12pm and 2.30pm.
