About Connie's Rooftop @ The Corrimal Hotel
Connie's Rooftop is the upstairs bar of The Corrimal Hotel, a pub on the Princes Highway in Corrimal that first opened in 1901. The bar is named after Connie Gumley, who poured beers at the hotel for more than thirty years from 1961, and it is the part of the hotel set aside for private events. Downstairs the pub runs a bistro, public and sports bars and a family terrace. The rooftop has both indoor and outdoor seating, a cocktail bar and colourful coastal styling, and it suits stand-up drinks or a more structured celebration. In regular trade it serves signature cocktails, wines, tap beers, share plates and pizzas, with acoustic musicians playing on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. It opens from Wednesday afternoon and from midday Friday to Sunday. Event food is ordered as platters of 20 pieces, from dips with pizza bread ($40) and sausage rolls or party pies ($45) through to arancini, fish bites, duck spring rolls, lamb kofta and chicken skewers, and cheeseburger or schnitzel sliders ($100). A group pizza package of ten pizzas costs $220, and cheese and antipasto grazing platters can be designed with the head chef. Function menus are aimed at groups of 20 or more. A $250 deposit secures the space and is refunded after the event, a $300 security fee applies to private events, catering is paid seven days ahead and bar tabs are settled at the end of the night.
