About M2 Kitchen
M2 Kitchen is a catering company on Keira Street in Wollongong, run by chef Michael Papac with events manager Nicki Barlow. Michael grew up in Wollongong, completed his apprenticeship locally and then spent years cooking in London, including time with large event caterers, before coming home to start his own business. Menus lean on seasonal produce and are built around the style of each event. Weddings are a large part of the work, and the same formats suit birthdays, anniversaries, dinner parties and work functions. Choose roaming canapés for a stand-up reception, a plated three-course dinner served alternate drop, a shared banquet, or a more casual barbecue, spit roast or gourmet pizza buffet. The plated package covers dinner rolls, crockery, silver cutlery, linen napkins and setting the tables, and an optional kids' menu is available. The team travels in a large refrigerated truck and can set up a mobile kitchen and bar, so a paddock, garden or empty hall can work as well as a function room. Drinks can be handled as well, with stocked beverage packages served by RSA staff, a cocktail menu with waitstaff, and tea and coffee service. M2 Kitchen also offers breakfast and lunch drop-off catering, a private chef service at home, and a private dining room at its Keira Street premises that seats around 40, or 60 for a cocktail party.
