The Winery is a wine bar and restaurant at 285A Crown Street in Surry Hills, a short walk from Central Station. It pours more than 30 wines by the glass alongside a European-leaning menu of share plates, and the setting mixes exposed brick, baroque furniture, fairy lights and a leafy laneway and terrace. Functions are a large part of the business, with an events team and a function pack that runs from corporate breakfasts to late-night parties. There are twelve ways to book it. The Private Dining Room has its own bar and a TV, seating 24 or taking up to 40 standing, and the Garden Room beside it, with a green vertical garden, adds 20 seated or 30 standing; together they hold 70. The covered Garden Party area joins those two to take 110. Upstairs, Level One can be hired exclusively for up to 100 guests (75 seated) or split into East and West mezzanines of 40 each. The Garden Party with the open-air laneway holds 200, two sections of the main dining room take 30 each, and exclusive use of the whole venue, with its several bars, takes 400. Canapé packages cost $50 per person for six pieces up to $76 for ten, with a minimum of 25 guests, and grazing stations such as cheese and charcuterie can be added. Seated groups can choose share menus at $79 or $99 per person. Drinks packages start at $53 per person for two hours, need at least 20 guests and are sold only with food. Hens and celebration groups have a $129 per person package that includes two hours of standard drinks, and the team can book a DJ, photobooth, photographer or drag queen host. A TV and microphone are available in the Private Dining Room, on Level One and for whole-venue hire.
