About The Ternary
The Ternary is the restaurant and bar inside Novotel Sydney on Darling Harbour, on Level 1 at 100 Murray Street. The name refers to its three strands of cooking: a grill, a wok and a wine list. Two open kitchens sit within the room, and floor-to-ceiling glass looks out over Darling Harbour to the city skyline. It is set up as several connected event areas. The Chemney Lounge is a cocktail space for up to 100 guests, with soft seating and skyline outlooks. The Ternary Terrace is an outdoor garden area that holds 60 standing or 22 seated. Private @ The Ternary is a closed dining room seating 18, suited to milestone dinners. Take over the whole restaurant and it holds 600 for a cocktail party or 200 at tables. For seated groups of 10 to 50 there are two shared menus: the Gold at $95 per person and the Platinum at $110 per person, each with naan from the tandoor, shared entrées, a choice of main and dessert. Larger groups get a tailored menu. Stand-up events use a canapé menu for 25 to 600 guests over two, three or four hours, and drinks packages come in Silver, Gold and Platinum tiers for one to four hours. Extras include a live oyster shucking station and a champagne tower. A 10% surcharge applies on weekends and public holidays, and on-site parking is available at the hotel.

Are there any surcharges?
A 10% surcharge applies on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, and a 1.4% surcharge applies to card payments on group bookings.
How do group bookings work?
Groups of 11 or more book through the events sales team. A set menu is required for 10 or more guests, payment is taken in advance, and dietary needs can be handled with notice.
