About The Racquet Club
The Racquet Club is a small, locally run sports bar and community hub inside Elanora Squash and Fitness Centre at 50 Kalang Road, Elanora Heights, on the Northern Beaches. It trades as a casual bar and kitchen through the week, shows sport on two large screens and puts on live music on Friday nights, and there is ample parking at the centre. For functions the team works two ways. You can reserve a private area of the bar, fenced off with barriers and given its own table service, or you can take the whole place on a Saturday night. The drawcard is the outdoor entertaining deck: a wide timber space with outdoor heating, lounge seating and high tables, and a view that reaches towards the ocean. Inside there is a bar and room for a band or DJ, and the adjoining squash courts can host supervised play and multisport activities for younger family members while the adults celebrate. Food comes from the onsite chef, with canapés served hot or cold in savoury and sweet styles, and gourmet pizzas as a lower-cost choice; dietary needs are catered for and food must be served during any private function. Drinks run as a bar tab or guests buy their own, with beers, wines, spirits, cocktails and alcohol-free options. The team can also arrange decorations such as balloon arches, banners, photo walls and lolly bars, special lighting, live musicians or DJs, and extras like darts, table tennis or a mechanical bull. Exclusive hire carries a $2,500 minimum spend on food and drinks plus a $1,000 booking fee and GST, and a 20% non-refundable deposit secures the date.

Can we hire the whole of The Racquet Club?
Yes. The entire venue can be booked for a private function on Saturday nights, and the bar closes to the public with notice. Smaller groups can reserve a private area with barriers and dedicated service instead.
What does exclusive hire cost?
Taking the whole venue needs a minimum spend of $2,500 on food and/or drinks, plus a $1,000 venue booking fee and GST. You decide how that spend is split between catering and the bar.
What food is available for functions?
The onsite chef prepares hot and cold canapés, both sweet and savoury, and gourmet pizzas for a more budget-friendly spread. Dietary requirements can be accommodated, and food has to be served throughout a private function under the licence. A waitstaff surcharge applies when canapés are served.
How do drinks work?
You can set up a bar tab or have guests pay for their own drinks. The bar stocks beers, wines, spirits, cocktails and non-alcoholic options.
How do I secure a booking?
Call the bar manager or send the enquiry form on the functions page for a tailored quote. Once you accept it, a 20% non-refundable deposit locks in the date and comes off your final bill.
