About The Ettamogah

The Ettamogah is a big, busy pub on the corner of Merriville and Windsor Roads in Kellyville Ridge. Alongside the bistro, a sports bar with 22 taps and a wall of screens, and a large undercover courtyard, it runs a dedicated functions team and several private and semi-private spaces for birthdays, engagements, wedding receptions, corporate events and sporting presentations. The two indoor suites are the main event. The Ridge Room is the signature space, with its own entrance from the car park, a secluded outdoor deck, a private bar and bathrooms, and room for up to 200 guests (around 120 seated). The Merriville Room also takes up to 200, with optional extras including pool tables, a games arcade and a photobooth, and the two can be joined for a larger event. Each indoor room comes with wireless microphones and a projector. Outside, the Garden Hut is a fenced, private corner of the beer garden with its own bar and a TV, and The Terrace is a sheltered area beside the Terrace Bar with heaters and fans, each suiting groups of about 40 to 60. Catering comes from the pub kitchen. Roaming canapé packages start at $45 per person for five items and rise to $65 per person for ten, and shared platters feeding about ten people cost $170 each, with pizza slabs, sushi and a grazing board for 50 also on the list. A minimum food and beverage spend applies, set by day, time and season. No outside food or drinks are allowed apart from a celebration cake. 21st birthdays need a security guard at extra cost, and the venue no longer hosts 18ths.

Pricing

Roaming canapé packages cost $45 per person for five items, $55 per person for seven and $65 per person for ten. Platters serving about ten people are $170 each, pizza slabs are $60, and a grazing board for 50 guests is $800. A minimum food and beverage spend applies to every event and changes with the day, time and season. Functions over 70 guests attract extra staffing fees, a 10% surcharge applies on public holidays, and security for 21st birthdays is $300. A non-refundable deposit confirms the booking, and final payment is due 14 days before the event.

Food

The function menu covers roaming canapés such as arancini, beef Wellington bites, sushi, rice paper rolls, chilled prawns and lobster sliders, plus hot and cold platters including skewers, sliders, seafood, Mediterranean dips and charcuterie. Pizza slabs, salads, dessert cups and a large grazing board are also available. The chefs can cater for dietary requirements, which should be supplied when the booking is finalised.

Beverages

Each indoor function room has its own fully stocked bar, and drinks can be run as a bar tab set up with the functions team. No drinks of any kind may be brought in, and alcohol arriving as a gift is held by staff until you leave.

Functions are booked through the events team by enquiry form, phone or email. A deposit is needed to hold a date, and final numbers and catering are confirmed 14 days before the event.

The Ridge Room and the Merriville Room each take up to 200 guests, with around 120 seated in the Ridge Room. The garden huts and The Terrace suit roughly 40 to 60, and the pub says it can handle groups well beyond that when spaces are combined.

What do function packages cost?

Can we hold a 21st or an 18th birthday here?

21st birthdays are welcome, but a security guard is required for the whole function at an extra $300, with at least one guard per 100 guests. 18th birthday parties are no longer accepted.

What equipment comes with the indoor rooms?

Each indoor suite has a private bar, its own restrooms, wireless microphones and a projector, plus access to an outdoor area. A DJ and a digital photobooth can be booked through the venue.

Can we bring our own food or drinks?

No. All food and drinks must come from the hotel, with the exception of a cake or cupcakes for the occasion. The kitchen caters for dietary requirements, which may cost extra, and they need to be confirmed when you finalise the booking.
