About The Edinburgh Castle
The Edinburgh Castle Hotel, known locally as The Eddy, is a heritage pub on the corner of Pitt and Bathurst Streets in the Sydney CBD, right beside Gadigal metro station and a short walk from Town Hall station and the light rail. The ground floor is a traditional public bar with live sport and cold beer, while level one holds Dusk Bar & Bistro, a calmer bar and dining room serving dry-aged steaks and pub favourites. Functions are held in Dusk Bar & Bistro, which has its own private bar, bright furnishings and room for 46 seated or 80 standing, with a TV and AV. It can be taken over exclusively for a larger party or split into smaller sections for a more intimate group, and suits birthdays, engagement parties, reunions, team lunches and corporate drinks. A dedicated functions team handles each booking from the first enquiry to the day itself. Catering ranges from canapé platters of 20 pieces, priced from $80 to $160 a platter, to grazing platters such as mezze, antipasto, cheese and sushi, noodle boxes at $15 each, and a slow-cooked lamb shoulder shared between three or four. Seated set menus are $65 per person for two courses or $75 for three, and alternate serve is $70 or $80. Drinks can be a standard package from $45 per person for 90 minutes up to $80 for four hours, a premium package from $50 to $95, a bar tab shaped around your group, or a cash bar. Daytime conference packages start at $55 per person.

The meal was great, came out quick and hot. Staff was great. The room was a little dark for our liking but overall a good meal.
