About The Basin Dining Room
The Basin Dining Room sits at 1 Surfview Road, up on the dunes at Mona Vale beach, with windows that look out over the sand to the surf. It trades for lunch and dinner seven days, cooking a menu that changes through the year and relies on produce from local suppliers, and it takes birthdays, engagements, weddings, work dinners and end-of-year parties. For larger occasions the whole restaurant can be booked for exclusive use, seating up to 76 guests. The room is light and coastal, with timber and rattan furniture, a long bar backed by shelves of bottles and a dining area that runs along the glass towards the ocean. Smaller celebrations of 10 to 20 guests can be booked as a group table within the restaurant during normal service. Groups are served a set menu from $82 per person: snacks when guests arrive, entrées shared across the table, a choice of main course with sides, and dessert if you want it. Drinks packages can be arranged on request. The venue is fully licensed and doesn't allow BYO. Tables of ten or more carry a 10% service charge, and surcharges apply on Sundays and public holidays.
