About Ruse Bar & Brasserie
Ruse Bar & Brasserie sits in the 4 Parramatta Square precinct at 12 Darcy Street, directly below the Parramatta transport interchange, so trains, buses and the river ferry are all a few minutes away. The venue is on one level and wheelchair accessible, and the Parramatta Square car park is underneath. It is really two venues that work alone or together. The brasserie is a European-inspired dining room in earthy tones with a wine cellar and a private dining room that seats up to 14, suited to birthdays, corporate lunches and Christmas parties. Next to it, the Ruse Bar is a more casual space with indoor and outdoor seating and its own kitchen turning out burgers and bar snacks. The bar normally runs on walk-ins, but the events team will hold tables for large groups when they can. The kitchen cooks over charcoal and wood, using Josper ovens and Basque open-fire grills for share-style steaks, lamb, fish and seafood, and the wine list leans Australian with international picks. For functions there are set menus designed so the whole group samples the kitchen's best dishes, plus beverage packages, and dietary requirements can be accommodated. Menu options and pricing come back after an enquiry. Groups of six or more carry an 8% service charge, and a cakeage fee of $4 per person applies if you bring a cake. A DJ plays 80s and 90s tracks in the bar on Friday nights.
