About Mestizo Bar and Cuisine
Mestizo Bar and Cuisine is a Latin American restaurant and cocktail bar at 101 Glebe Point Road in Glebe, a few minutes from the CBD by bus or light rail. It is a bright, busy room of exposed brick, woven hats and colourful decorations, and it hosts birthdays, family celebrations, work functions and themed nights for up to 100 guests across the venue. There are three named event spaces. Andes, the lobby room, is a semi-private corner of the main room for 15 to 20 guests, with a view of the city lights at night. Caribe is the main dining room, taking 30 to 40 guests with access to the bar and room to dance. Amazonas is the downstairs room, a partly open space for 25 to 30 that feels more secluded and suits a private dinner or a birthday. The kitchen cooks Latin American food such as empanadas, tacos, ceviche, plantain dishes, steaks and grilled chicken, with vegetarian and gluten-free options. Menus are built around your event and can be served at the table, as a buffet or as canapés passed around the room. The bar pours cocktails, sangria, margaritas, Latin spirits and wine, with bar packages and open bar options quoted on request. The team helps with planning and can set up Latin music or your own playlist.
